"What size is best for me?"
In regards to sizing, unfortunately we can't give a broad answer for everything across all of our ranges. It varies depending on the item and the manufacturer. Some items we recommend going a size up from your usual, others a size down. If you're unsure, please do get in touch with us about the item you're interested in along with your relevant measurements. (E.g.- If you're looking at a shirt, tell us your collar, chest and waist size.) Once we know your sizes, we can guide you as best we can to the right size for you. Alternatively, if you're able to come in store, we can measure you ourselves and advise accordingly.
"Are you able to order in a specific product for me?"
The honest answer is, it depends. Some items are a limited range and once they're gone, we're not able to get them again. Others we can order with relative ease and, some items depend on the manufacturer. If you're wondering about a certain product then contact us and we will let you know if it's something we can order in for you.
"Are you open on the weekend?"
Our opening hours are 9:30am - 5pm Monday to Saturday. We are closed on Sundays.
"Where are you based?"
Our store is based in the beautiful and historic city of Chichester in West Sussex in the south of England. Our full address is 17/18 South Street, Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 1EJ. If you're not able to get to Chichester but wish to purchase from us, you can order through our online website or order via telephone. "What material is this made from?"
The description of our products on our website have information on the material composition of most of our products, the website is constantly being updated and soon every item will have as much information as possible. If an item doesn't have the material in it's description, then please do get in touch to ask.
"Do you offer a suit hiring service?"
Unfortunately, this is not a service we offer for any of our products. We do however, offer a wide variety of suits that you're more than welcome to try on in store and purchase.
"Can you keep an item on hold for me?"
Absolutely! Just let us know the specific item, size as well as your details and if available, we'll happily put the item aside for you until you're able to come in store. Alternatively, you can purchase the item online and we'll send it out to you as soon as possible.
"I wish to return an item, is this possible?"
If you wish to return an item for whatever reason, we do accept returns providing it's within 30 days of purchase. You can either return the item in store or post your order back to us. "If I purchase online, will I still get my membership points?"
Yes. If you are a member of our Centenary club then, your points will automatically added to your account with each of your online orders.
"Do you sell pyjamas?"
Unfortunately, we do not sell pyjamas. In terms of nightwear, we do sell a range of dressing gowns and robes as well as a plethora of slippers.
"Do you sell clothes for women?"
In the early days of Hansfords, we did in fact sell clothes for both men and women. However, in the last few decades we have specialised in clothing for men.

"Do you ever have a sale?"
We do sales at various points of the year including both a summer and winter sale. Keep an eye on our social media platforms for updates about when a sale will be taking place.
